This policy briefing details the current mismatch between student learning needs and per-student spending in Connecticut’s local and regional public school districts, and examines some of the factors that contribute to this mismatch.
The report concludes that to fix the funding inequity that exists among Connecticut’s local and regional public school districts, and resolve the mismatch between student needs and resources, steps must be taken to address and remedy the local funding inequities that exist between lower and higher wealth communities.
