Senior Engagement & Development Associate
As part of the School and State Finance Project’s Engagement and Development team, the Senior Engagement & Development Associate will help develop and execute the organization’s engagement and development strategies, create and maintain the organization’s development and fundraising infrastructure, aid in the creation and execution of programming, identify development alignments when possible, and work across the organization to ensure strong connectivity through communities. The Senior Engagement & Development Associate will also be a key voice in the creation of collateral materials to meet the needs of stakeholders, and will participate in collaborations with stakeholders in order to develop high-quality, funder-aligned programming.
The ideal Senior Engagement & Development Associate will be a highly-skilled communicator and strategist, in both communicating out to target audiences through verbal and written forms and in listening to the needs of community members to identify key integrations of programming and development. The candidate will be a critical thinker and able to work well individually and as part of a team. This is a great opportunity for an individual who is passionate about equity, education, and fair public policies, and wants to use their interpersonal skills and passion for advocacy to engage audiences and advance the organization’s mission and fundraising capabilities.
Position Overview

Schedule: Regular Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Compensation: The salary for this position will be $80,000 - $85,000.
Benefits: This position is eligible for a full benefits package.
Data & Policy Analyst
Reporting to the Director of Data & Analysis, the Data & Policy Analyst will analyze and help develop policy proposals that advance the Project’s goal of creating a more equitable, transparent, and unified school finance system, and address the State of Connecticut’s longstanding state fiscal and budgetary challenges.
The ideal Data & Policy Analyst will have outstanding research and analysis skills, a familiarity with public finance and education policy, and the ability to make complex information easily digestible to broad audiences. The individual must be tactful and able to work with individuals and organizations who have diverse perspectives that may not always align. The Data & Policy Analyst should be passionate about fixing how schools in Connecticut are funded and the structural issues at the heart of Connecticut’s fiscal picture.
The role is designed to prioritize data analysis skills up front, allowing the analyst to build strong understanding of the data driving school finance before taking on deeper policy development responsibilities over time. The analyst will also work closely with the organization’s Policy team, under the Director of Research & Policy, to support the organization’s policy development and research efforts.
