Published: Updated:

The Connecticut General Assembly's 2023 regular legislative session resulted in a number of changes to state funding for K-12 education, including: an acceleration of full funding of the Education Cost Sharing (ECS) formula, increases in funding for the Excess Cost grant for students with extraordinary special education needs, and an additional $435 million for Connecticut's public schools over the next two fiscal years.

This presentation details the changes to state education funding and explains how they affect students, schools, and communities. Download a PDF of the presentation or watch a recording of the presentation given by Patrick Gibson, deputy executive director of the School and State Finance Project.
